Kiran Patel M.D., F.R.C.P.C
Dr. Patel is the Medical Director and head Anesthetist at the Macleod Trail Surgical Centre. Dr. Patel has over 30 years of experience in his field and has overseen approximately 6,000 cosmetic surgeries during his impressive career.
Dr. Patel received his Medical Degree from the University of Toronto in 1983, then subsequently completed his training in Internal Medicine (1987) and Anesthesia (1988) at the University of Calgary. Following his training, Dr. Patel was offered a position at the Foothills Medical Centre, where he held the position of Clinical Services Director from 1991 – 1995. Dr. Patel has a position at the Rockyview General Hospital and is Medical Director for the Anesthesia Centre. He was previously the Medical Director for the Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Centre, a private plastic surgery hospital, for 12 years until it closed in 2011.
Dr. Patel is widely respected by his colleagues and peers and revered for his expertise in his field, as well as his personal integrity and character. His kind and gentle nature and ability to effectively communicate the anesthetic process help our patients in Calgary feel reassured and relaxed going into surgery. In addition, his vast experience, training and knowledge make him one of the most qualified Anesthetists in his field.

Surgical Nurses
Brittany Pond and Amanda Van Ham are vital members of our surgical nursing team. Our surgeons hand-picked them for their exceptional knowledge, skill and compassion. Amanda and Brittany are mothers with young children and have a nursing background in labour and delivery. This experience makes them uniquely capable of empathizing and caring for patients who are nervous or in pain. Our patients frequently comment on their unique bedside manner and the difference they make to their surgical experience.
Joelle Rozema RN, BN
Nurse Injector
Joelle began her nursing career in 2013, where she worked in the plastic surgery unit at Calgary's Foothills Medical Centre. It was during this time she discovered her passion for combining art with science, and transitioned into medical aesthetics in 2016. She began a physician guided, injection mentorship which provided her extensive training, and instilled a strong ethical approach to her injection practice.
Joelle is recognized in the industry for her classic and timeless enhancements. Her treatment plans aim to provide natural looking results that highlight and maintain the unique beauty of each client. Her warm demeanour and gentle injecting style ensure a pleasant and comfortable experience for her clients.
